Marketing tips for a Friday

Like most people we get a load of recycling through our letterbox everyday. It comes in the form of pizza flyers, estate agent brochures and business cards touting this service and that, mostly mini-cabs. Most go straight into the recycling bag leaving me wondering whether the expense the business goes to to deliver these is worth it. Today one came through demonstrating that, not only isn’t it worth it, it’s also a good way to harm your brand if not thought through.

Why deliver to SW16 if there’s not a listing for it? I can only think this kind of detail isn’t that important to the them (thus they’re offer isn’t going to be important to me!) or that someone given the task of organising the flyer drop didn’t take the time to check the detail.

In any case it narrows down the selection I’ll need to do next time I need to go to the airport.
